Guy Fieri Promotes New Tequila at Costco in Rohnert Park

Guy Fieri was in Rohnert Park on Wednesday, November 19, 2019, signing bottles of his new tequila. Many gathered at the doors of Costco waiting to purchase his new tequila, Santo Tequila Blanco, and Guy Fieri sign it.

California Pushes for NCAA to pay College Athletes

The N.C.A.A., National Collegiate Athletic Association, has recently implemented a new law that would allow college athletes to brand their name, image, and allow them to earn compensation as athletes. This surprise from the N.C.A.A. came shortly after California’s Governor Gavin Newsom signed a bill that will enable athletes to hire agents and pursue endorsement deals. 

Charles M. Schultz- Sonoma County Airport looking to expand airlines

 The Charles M. Schultz- Sonoma County Airport, is working on adding more flights this spring 2020. With commercial flight sales up they’re hoping to add more flights and bring more business. Sonoma County Airport offers daily nonstop flights to Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, Portland, Seattle, Dallas, and Phoenix harbor, to name a few.

Gucci makes controversy on the runway

Fashion Week is in full swing, kicking off in Paris, London, Milan and ending in New York. You have big name brands like Fendi, Prada, Versace, Ferragamo and Gucci to show off spring and summer styles for 2020. Celebrities all prepare for fashion week, and brands send them free clothing with tickets to be the first to preview what can be next season’s hottest fashion. Jennifer Lopez closed out Versace’s Runway in her iconic Grammy Dress. The 50 year old actress made her official runway appearance in an updated version of the plunging palm print dress she wore to the Grammys in 2000. While everyone commented on J.Lo’s iconic moment, Gucci, yet again, sparked controversy on the runway. 


Tekashi “Snitch” Nine takes the Stand

Tekashi 6ix9ine made his court appearance on Tuesday, Sept. 17 after being charged for racketeering and drug trafficking charges about a year ago. According to VIBE Tekashi 6ix9ine, Daniel Hernandez, was testifying against his old crew Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods. Tekashi was given a photo where he identified members of his entourage as high ranking gang members of Nine Trey Gang. 


Glamorizing abusive relationships seen too often in films

Love will once again be in the air come February 2020. Harley Quinn will be getting her own spin off movie, Birds of Prey, after Suicide Squad’s release in 2016. The movie will be based on Harley Quinn’s relationship with The Joker, but ultimately she decides to leave his side. Gotham City has gone unprotected since Batman has disappeared. Cassandra, a new character in the movie, comes across a diamond belonging to a Masked Villain. Harley Quinn teams up with a few other villains, Black Canary, Renee and Huntress to protect the girl and the diamond. 


Edibles can be more potent mixed with chocolate

Marijuana, Mary Jane, pot, ganja, weed, and cannabis: the list of names for this substance are endless. Marijuana is the first legalized controlled substance in some states. It can be smoked, used to cook with, and also for medical use. Among new college students and current students, marijuana is the most common and popular drug. Most students first experience a high via edibles, a cannabis- infused food.
