Guy Fieri joined forces with Legendary rocker and spirits pioneer, Sammy Hagar. Sammy Hagar, known as the Red Rocker, was a vocalist and guitarist for the rock band Montrose in the 1970s. Hagar owns a nightclub in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, called Cabo Wabo Cantina, using the name to market a successful line of tequila 10 years ago Hagar created Cabo Wabo Tequila. Working with Juan Eduardo Nunez, a third-generation master distiller helped Hagar create his Cabo Wabo Tequila, Santo Puro Mezquita, and now Santo Fino Blanco tequila. The Tequila is produced in a distillery in Jalisco, Mexico. The tequila had made a debut in Massachusetts, Georgia, New York, and South Carolina earlier this year and in Nevada, and California this Fall.

Hagar and Juan Eduardo Nunez wanted to create a new Blanco tequila. Guy Fieri just so happen to contact Hagar about creating a tequila. Fieri being a tequila lover felt it was the perfect time and idea to join forces. According to an online website, spiritedbiz.com Hagar said, “Guy and I shook hands and a few months later we were sipping the most amazing Blanco tequila we’d ever tasted.” when asked about how the discussions on the new Blanco tequila came about.

With this new endeavor for both Santo Fino Blanco reintroduced Hagar back into the tequila market as one of the first celebrities to produce and launch his self- made spirit, after being recognized for his Cabo Wabo Tequila.  In an interview about the tequila, Guy said, “There are a few things I know, Great food, killer drinks and wild times… and Sammy and I are makin’ it all happen with Los Santo.”
