While practically all Sonoma State students are well familiar with the Seawolf, of course, the mascot that students of the university are proud to call their own, many may not know the man responsible for its inspiration. The famed Sonoma County author Jack London, who is known for his famous books such as “Call of the Wild,” “White Fang,” and of course “The Seawolf,” is at the forefront of a new university art exhibit on the second floor of the Sonoma State Library; for students, it is certainly a place to explore.
Every year here in the state of California, the California State University Board of Trustees meets to announce their awards for outstanding achievement. This year Sonoma State Graduate Anthony Tercero was given one of the 23 awards that we handed out this past Tuesday, Sept. 24 at the ceremony held in Long Beach, California.
Sonoma State University decided to make a new addition to their library art gallery for the 2019 Fall semester. It was announced that the new art exhibit would be a new multimedia display.
This past Monday, Sept. 9, a man jumped to his death from the top of the Graton Rancheria parking garage. According to the police report, the man took his own life shortly after breaking free from police custody.
On Saturday, September 2nd Sonoma County health department issued a health alert that warned of the lung injuries that are and have been related to vaping and the use of other E-vapor products.
