Finals week, or as I like to call it: “hell week”, is the time of all-nighters, poor dietary choices, and spiked stress levels. Each year I watch the library slowly reach full capacity, something that would have been a rarity earlier in the year.
If my heart is racing, palms are sweaty, my eyes are fixed on the clock and my hand is glued to the computer mouse it’s probably because I am about to face a little battle I call registration.
While many people still haven’t finalized their Thanksgiving menu, countless stores are already hanging Christmas wreaths in their front windows. Some holiday-haters complain about the stores starting their Christmas specials and displays so early; personally, I think that it is completely necessary to get a head start on all the Yule Tide fun.
JoAnn Amos, or “Dot Di Prima” from the Sonoma State University production “Blur,” is a thriving thespian who is on her way to pursuing big dreams on the stage.
The not-so-Disney-Princess, Miley Cyrus, continues to take a dramatic departure from her Hannah Montana image with her new album “Bangerz.” This pixie-cut, twerking pop star’s new album sounds as diverse as she is. The record was produced by Mike Will Made It and Pharrell Williams featuring guest artists Brittney Spears, Nelly, Big Shawn, Future and French Montana.
“One of the big goals of the Sonoma State Nurse Practitioner Program is to provide care to underserved populations,” said Loree Skidmore, clinical instructor for the Family Nurse Practitioner Program.
There are many great things about college, such as all the friends and freedoms that come with it. But if there’s one thing students truly miss from back home, it’s mama’s home cooking.
The new Student Center is approaching completion and creating a buzz around campus about what will be done with the newly vacant buildings. Many of the service buildings offered on campus such as the bookstore, Zinfandel Dining Room, Zinfandel Market and the Commons will all be transferred into the new Student Center upon its completion. The new Student Center has even brought up rumors about other buildings moving into this new space.

Here is your big chance; this year Sonoma State’s Theater and Dance Department will be featuring the famous musical “Fiddler on the Roof,” the inspiring play, “Blur,” the interdisciplinary Fall Dance Concert and the spine-chilling play, “Ghost Sonata.”
