Seawolves Speak: “Do you have any secrets to having a very successful end of the semester?”

As the end of the semester approaches, students are preparing for their final responsibilities in the fall term. The week of finals can be very stressful, with multiple deadlines to meet, projects to complete, and exams to keep up with. Many want to know some ways that Seawolves can best tackle the end of the term. 

When talking to students, it seems keeping a maintained schedule is very important. Many Seawolves have a busy schedule, so being able to stay organized and on top of their work can lead to a successful end of the semester. Whether it’s keeping a to-do list, or taking each assignment little by little, students have found some tips and tricks that can help anyone as finals season approaches.

“Don’t procrastinate, and make sure to finish strong since it is the last stride, so keep telling yourself that.” -Melissa Guzman, Senior, Environmental Science Major

“Making sure I am prepared for upcoming deadlines and exams, and studying on my off time.” -Evan Minturn, Junior, Business Major

“I write a do-to list, regardless of what it is so I know I need to do it.” -Sierra Cerda, Sophomore, Hutchins Major

“Spending my free time studying and practicing, making sure I have a minimum done to stay afloat.” -John Mayer, Senior, Music Education Major

“Staying organized is most important, and making sure everything is written down.” -Lucy Marigold, Junior, Early Childhood Development Major

“Mainly, during the semester, I try to shut myself off from going out, and focus on school as much as I can to benefit my happiness.” -Maxwell Belote-Broussard, Senior,  Geography, Environmental & Planning Major
