Defense secretary latest casualty in Trump administration firings

Trump’s decision to remove Esper with the end of his term nearly at hand is seemingly pointless. It represents yet another questionable leadership decision by the Trump administration. It strongly reinforces the idea that President-elect Joe Biden is needed to restore order and predictability to the U.S. government—two things that Trump has upended over the past four years.

Major tech CEOs discuss section 230 in hearing

Freedom of speech, granted to U.S. citizens by the First Amendment, was the subject of the great debate on Oct. 28. The CEOs of three major tech companies, Facebook, Google and Twitter, testified before Congress in a Senate committee hearing held that day. The purpose of the hearing was to address how these companies evaluate the content on their sites and discuss section 230, which is part of broader legislation called the Communications Decency Act.

Herd immunity could pose a threat to COVID-19 prevention

Trump was incredibly cavalier about his symptoms, posting on Twitter that there was nothing to fear about the coronavirus and championing his good health. Now, it appears that the administration has found something new to champion: herd immunity.

Facebook uses censorship to combat Holocaust deniers
