In the past month or so there have been several different articles online that say that “so and so young adult author is the new ‘savior’ of young adult literature.”
My family’s story reads a lot like many Americans whose families emigrated over from other countries. In the ‘50s and ‘60s they came on the boats legally to America from the Azores—Portuguese islands—and have been in America ever since.

Neil Gaiman returns to his haunting and twisted fairy tale-like roots for his new novel “The Ocean at the End of the Lane.” Gaiman, who is most known for his novella “Coraline” and novel “Stardust,” does not fail to terrify and enchant readers with this new story.
