Jazz student finds passion in drums

It’s not everyday that one comes across a musician who plays in nine different bands, but Sonoma State University student Taylor Cuffie manages to maintain the heavy workload that comes along with being a college student while pursuing his musical passion.

As an emerging pop star, Tove Lo quickly rose to popularity following her release of “Queen of the Clouds,” which left her fans wanting more. Tove Lo’s talent led her to the opportunity to collaborate along side several talented and well-known artists, such as Hilary Duff, Ellie Goulding, Coldplay, Flume, Alesso, Nick Jonas, Adam Lambert, Years & Years, Seven Lions, Broods, Lucas Nord and Urban Cone.

Student places studies ahead of talent

It’s not everyday you come across an artist who found her passion for art at such a young age. Fourth-year Sonoma State University student, Yolanda Gillotte began her interest in art in a unique way. Growing up as a young child in Thailand, Gillotte was involved in summer camps and often chose to be in the art camp. During these times, she found herself immersed in different forests and beaches where she would use water color, acrylics and other mediums to re-create the landscapes.

We can all recall the horrific tragedy that unfolded in the gay night club, Pulse, in Orlando, Florida on June 12. The lives of innocent young men and women were abruptly ended by a coward holding a gun. Following the shooting, thousands of members of the LGBTQ community came together to make a stand for the lives that had been lost.

All female “Ghostbusters” cause outrage among former fans

Ghostbuster fans were not thrilled, when news surfaced regarding the release of the “Ghostbusters” reboot which would include an all female main cast. Following the release of the 2016 movie trailer, the Internet was immediately flooded with hateful and sexist comments from infuriated fans refusing to give the film any chance whatsoever.
