Library not the obvious study spot

There are many places on campus and Sonoma County that are great for picking up a snack and getting to work on all those papers and study guides.

Distracted Driving Awareness month sheds light on dangers behind the wheel

Donna Lyon is used to questions about distracted driving. As one of the owners of Lyon’s Driving School in Rohnert Park, she welcomes them. Her job is to help people keep their eyes on the road. The National Safety Council observes April as Distracted Driving Awareness Month to draw attention to thousands who have died in car crashes involving cell phone use.
With technology and smartphones, people can text, call, map and do pretty much anything while driving. Cell phone use proves to be the number one source of distracted driving, causing many deaths all over the world.

Career fair showcases local and national careers

It’s that time of year again. Graduation is in just a few short months and students are beginning to think about specific careers.
In order to get students more prepared for the job world, Sonoma State University put together it’s annual Career Fair. Last Thursday, the ballroom was filled with over 112 employers who came to talk to students about their future jobs and internships.

Thirs-tea for boba?

Move over Tea Rex, there’s a new boba place in town, and it’s getting plenty of attention. On a sunny, weekend afternoon, ThirsTea is students’ new go-to drink spot. This boba restaurant is open Monday through Thursday 11 a.m. through 9 p.m., Friday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sundays 11 a.m. to 8 p.m..
