University replaces online sexual assault training following hack in September

Sonoma State University has been given an update on the Title IX replacement program to take the place of the failed Agent of Change program students were required to complete last semester.Students will be expected to complete the new training program by Feb. 14.

Alpha Gamma Delta looking to include non-Greeks in Lip Jam

Alpha Gamma Delta is looking to cast two non-Greek organizations to their “Lights, Camera, Action” annual Lip Jam event this year for the first time ever.  The sorority’s annual lip-syncing and dancing competition raises funds for diabetes education and awareness.

Warren Court essay contest deadline on Thursday

Sonoma State University has an annual scholarship opportunity for students interested in writing about civil liberties and ethics. The Warren Court Essay contest is brought forth by the Center for Ethics, Law, and Society, a sub-department of the philosophy department, with the submission period ending Thursday.

Club hopes to bring dreamers resource center to campus

The fall semester has brought a new club to Sonoma State University that appeals to undocumented students. The DREAMers Club helps support undocumented students and their allies with services and information on many topics such as Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, obtaining licenses under AB60, the California Dream Act and many scholarship opportunities.
