Student Spotlight: Molly Alcorn

For the last two months, an average day in the life of 20-year-old, Molly Alcorn, has been vastly unlike that of most college students. Each weekday morning she wakes up, makes a short commute from Virginia to Washington, D.C. and at 9 a.m. sharp reports to work on Capitol Hill.

Student Spotlight: Melody Forsell

In early August freshman Melody Forsell and two friends took a trip to Hollywood to be part of the live studio audience of the longtime-aired game show, “The Price is Right.” What she didn’t realize beforehand was the possibility of being one of 300 audience members interviewed that day as potential contestants.

Sexual assault prevention manager battles societal views

In a packed lecture hall Rob Diaz asked a group of students, “How many of you have heard of the term ‘rape culture?’” A majority of hands shot up. Then he asked, “How many of you can give me a definition?” The hands dropped discouragingly and the room fell quiet. Only one brave girl kept her hand raised to fancy an educated guess.
